Liz, the visionary behind L Studio, ignited her passion for beauty during her theatrical pursuits in high school and college. After graduating from Towson University with a Bachelor of Arts, she set her sights on New Jersey to delve into Cosmetology.

Through extensive training across NYC, NJ, Philadelphia, and California, Liz honed her craft under the guidance of industry titans like KEVIN.MURPHY, Goldwell, L’Oreal, Redken and Schwarzkopf. In 2014, she unveiled the doors to L Studio, driven by a belief in continuous learning.

Liz earned her stripes as a Color Master with Goldwell in 2017, later embracing the role of Color Educator with KEVIN.MURPHY in 2019. Her reach extends beyond the salon; she’s a trusted hand at Miami Swim Week and NYC Fashion Week, bringing her artistic touch to the runway.

But Liz’s journey isn’t defined by accolades alone. Her passion for her craft finds its true meaning in her genuine and caring approach. With an ear attuned to her clients’ needs, she listens with an empathetic heart. Whether it’s a hair challenge or a simple chat, Liz’s dedication shines as she wholeheartedly problem-solves, ensuring every client feels heard and understood.

Meet Kim, the heartbeat of L Studio, where she wears many hats with grace and flair. As a gifted Stylist and Makeup Artist, Kim brings the full spectrum of beauty to life. From transformative extensions to exquisite colors, precision cuts to glamorous makeup, Kim’s expertise knows no bounds.

But Kim’s influence doesn’t stop at the styling chair. As our right hand and salon manager, she’s the mastermind behind the scenes, ensuring every aspect runs seamlessly. Kim’s the go to for client issues, appointments, and the orchestration of a salon that thrives on organization and efficiency.

Kim’s journey began in high school, where she dove into Cosmetology, setting the stage for a remarkable career. NJ Glam was her first canvas, where she honed her skills under the guidance of the head Artist and Owner. From there, she stepped into the wedding industry, a proving ground for her artistry. Kim thrives under pressure, fashioning flawless looks with an electric energy that resonates in every detail.

With a keen eye for perfection and a dedication to her craft, Kim is our industry’s triple threat. She’s your ticket to a look that’s effortlessly natural or boldly trendy, all tailored to your desire. When she’s not losing sleep over perfecting L Studio systems, you can find Kim at the latest horror movie, dishing her honest opinion of whether it can hold a torch to her favorite scary movie, Halloween.

Meet Cassie, a rising star in the world of beauty, who found her calling as a Stylist under the guiding light of Liz. Middle school marked the beginning of her fascination with hair and makeup, as YouTube tutorials flooded her phone with inspiration. What began with creating braids during school hours ignited a passion that led her to Cosmetology school, a ‘no brainer’ for Cassie as she embarked on her journey to master every facet of the industry.

Throughout her three years of experience, Cassie has found her true north in the art of cutting and special event styling. Her prowess isn’t confined to hair; as a Makeup Artist, she’s equally skilled. Cassie’s evolution has been bolstered by a close apprenticeship with our in-house Educator, Liz, fueling her growth as a triple threat in our artistry.

Cassie’s gift goes beyond her natural talent; it’s her innate ability to transform desires into realities. Her keen listening skills and intuitive knack for translating visions into tangible beauty is her signature. As Liz puts it, “She came to us a natural talent, with an ability to intuitively see things we usually have to train on. She will be a big name in this industry; just give her time.”

Anna is a Stylist and Colorist with over two decades of mastery. She channels her expertise through the lenses of Reiki Healing, tarot reading, and intuition. As a former Goldwell Educator, Anna’s formulation, color blocking, and highlight artistry are more than techniques—they’re spells woven into every strand. She is a graduate of Vidal Sassoon, bringing a keen eye and precision to every cut. Beyond her craft, Anna is a devoted dog and girl mom, infusing warmth and wisdom into her every creation. Chay is a seasoned stylist with over 20 years in the hair industry and the owner of a salon in downtown Jersey City, The Artist & The Antidote. Specializing in curly hair, lived-in color, extensions, and classic cuts, Chay is known for a fresh, individualized approach that transforms both textured and straight hair into effortlessly beautiful styles. With a deep understanding of natural movement and shape, they create looks that are modern, versatile, and easy to maintain. Chay’s work combines skill and artistry, offering clients hair that feels vibrant, authentic, and uniquely tailored to them.

Meet Gracie, a certified pickle lover and talented makeup artist. Gracie is a licensed Esthetician certified in Professional Makeup Artistry with more than four (4) years of experience.

Gracie became interested in makeup when she discovered a love for making people feel beautiful. With her quirky humor and creativity, she has the ability to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary. Though her roots are in special effects makeup and the theatre, she also enjoys doing makeup for special events, especially weddings. Her favorite makeup looks come when marrying the two—like the glam Halloween looks she created for The Haunt in South Florida, or the transformative works she executed for Florida Fashion Week.

Gracie has lived in three states in the last four years: her home state of Minnesota; Florida, where she graduated from Cosmix School of Makeup Artistry; and now New Jersey, where she moved in 2023. When she’s not working, Gracie loves reading, listening to music, and watching Marvel movies and Supernatural.

With over 20 years of experience in the hair industry, Nika is a true artist dedicated to enhancing beauty and confidence in every client. Her passion lies in crafting the perfect hair color and style that brings out each individual’s best features. “My goal is to help people feel confident and look their absolute best,” she shares.

Throughout her career, Nika has worked alongside some of the industry’s top professionals in both NYC and New Jersey, honing her skills and expanding her expertise. While color is her specialty, she’s also highly trained in precision cutting, event styling, and extensions—making her a versatile stylist who can truly do it all.

Known for her fiery red locks and vibrant personality, Nika is a proud new cat mom and a cocktail connoisseur, always ready to share a great recommendation.

Sarah is our curl connoisseur and expert in transforming textures from 2A to 4C. Specializing in color corrections and championing hair health, Sarah is not only a skilled Stylist, but also a versatile Makeup Artist with extensive knowledge in beauty and art. Beyond the salon, she wears multiple hats as a freelance Artist & Wardrobe Magician for Broadway, and a published Author, showcasing her artistic prowess. As a Pisces and healer, Sarah brings a holistic approach to her craft, ensuring not only stunning results but also a nurturing experience. She really can do it all—with an open heart and mind, she can deliver anything from braids to extensions, an art moral or an amazing baked good wrapped with delicate expertise. Makeup Lesson: $150/hr+

A one on one lesson with a professional makeup artist whether it be on makeup basics or on how to achieve a specific look.
